The goal is to practice financial responsibility by maintaining accurate financial records.
The Treasurer will report quarterly on the financial status. Accounts will be audited by a Certified Public Accountant at the end of each fiscal year.
(1) Focus to help maintain the principal of the Fund - 10% of the interest earned on the investments of the Fund, as received, will be reinvested in the principal. This amount, plus any donations to the Fund, will be placed in a Principal Holding Account, to be invested into the Fund Principal at the earliest reasonable opportunity.
The remaining 90% of interest earned will be available primarily for grant requests, up to $1,000.00 for each grant, for Lions Clubs within Multiple District 7. Although all grants will be considered and many approved, special consideration will be given for projects for the deaf or hearing-impaired and the blind or sight-impaired. Matching funds are viewed favorably, but are not required.
